Sometimes nature is the best architect. You should just leave the job of beautification and design to nature, watch her working wonders.

Goqui Island is located in Shengsi at the beginning of Yangtze River. It is a 400 island archipelago. The fishermen have all moved to mainland, and nature is eating over the houses they left behind, in a mindblowing way. With an above average rainfall and the tropical climate, greenery crawled all over the island. Goqui is a tourist destination now.  These photos by Jane Qing, a creative photographer based in Shanghai, take us into this lost village on the beautiful archipelago.
